Description
The D-Link DVG-6004S/DVG-6008S VoIP trunk gateways connect an IP network to POTS (plain old telephone service) analog lines, allowing IP voice and data to be sent to traditional phone sets and fax machines. These devices are designed as a low-cost VoIP solution for small to medium-sized businesses and branch offices, with 4 or 8 FXO (Foreign eXchange Office) ports for 4 or 8 phone line connections. Any of the four LAN ports or the WAN port (all of which are 10/100BASE-TX Ethernet interfaces) can be used to connect to an IP network. The DVG-6004S/DVG-6008S gateways provide clear sound, voice, and dependable fax calling by implementing internationally recognized voice and data networking standards. They include Quality of Service (QoS) functions to ensure that voice received over the Internet is comparable to, if not superior to, voice received over the phone.
