Up to 30 extensions can be added to the Dlink DVX-2002F IP PBX System, which can be put anywhere there is Internet connectivity. Multiple units can be connected to a single PBX system to expand the number of extensions or to link a company with multiple locations to a single PBX system. The transmission of telephone calls over the Internet as ordinary Internet data packets is known as Internet IP telephony, often known as Voice over IP (VoIP). Old phone receivers with phone line-to-Internet gateways, PCs with software, and fixed devices can all make Internet phone calls (IP Phones).
