Description
The D-Link DVG-6004S/DVG-6008S VoIP trunk gateways connect an IP network to analog POTS (plain old telephone service) lines, allowing IP voice and data to be sent to traditional phone sets and fax machines. With 4 or 8 FXO (Foreign eXchange Office) ports for 4 or 8 phone line connections, these devices are intended as a low-cost VoIP solution for small to medium-sized businesses and branch offices. To connect to an IP network, use any of the four LAN ports or the WAN port (all of which are 10/100BASE-TX Ethernet interfaces). By implementing internationally recognized voice and data networking standards, the DVG-6004S/DVG-6008S gateways provide clear sound, voice, and dependable fax calling. They include Quality of Service (QoS) functions to ensure that voice received over the Internet is on par with, if not better than, voice received over the phone.
