Throughout the course of a normal day, Navigator users include assistants, receptionists, and managers who answer incoming calls, transfer consumers to different departments or extensions, and monitor multiple line appearances. For Navigator users, the Avaya 1616 IP Phone gives the most one-touch line keys without the need to wade through on-screen listings. On the phone itself, the Avaya 1616 IP Phone has 16 line appearances and feature keys, and a 32-key expansion model adds another 48 feature keys or speed dial buttons. Each key features a dual-LED that displays clear status information to the user. The Avaya 1616 IP Phone provides a familiar appearance and feel, as well as a number of secure function keys for typical phone tasks including conference, drop, transfer, hold, and mute. The Avaya 1616 IP Phone also comes with a high-quality 2-way speakerphone and is compatible with a wide range of Avaya wired and wireless receivers thanks to its integrated headset jack.

- Address assignments can be static or dynamic.
- IP Office R4.2 or higher is required, as is Avaya Communication Manager R3.0 or higher.
- When used on the IP500 & IP500V2 with Release 6.0, Avaya IP Phones require an Avaya IP Phone license.
- Supports up to three 32-button expansion modules, giving you access to 112 line/feature keys or speed dial buttons in total.
